Get Up Stand Up

Rude Bridge

Short 2-bar intro. Alternating choruses and verses. The verses can be used for solos, or for alternate melodies used on the verse.

A bass part is included for the low instruments. It's based on the riddim played by Aston "Family Man" Barrett with the Wailers. The bass riddim is an important part of the reggae groove.

If possible, add some players on the chords on the offbeats, for a classic reggae feel.

The chorus is an all-purpose protest song; good for everyone to sing along.

A reggae protest song inspired by Bob Marley's visit to Haiti, and the Rastafari beliefs of Bob Marley and Peter Tosh.
